| 獣医 | ホールデンさん、この新しい薬をあなたの犬の糖尿病に使ってみてください |
| Veterinarian | I recommend that you try this new medicine for your dog's diabetes, Mr. Holden. |
| ホールデン | わかりました。ですが、なぜ薬を変えたほうがいいのでしょうか、教えていただけますか |
| Holden | OK, but tell me, why do you think I should change his medicine now ? |
| 獣医 | この薬の方がずっと便利です。一日一回だけ与えればいいんです。 |
| Veterinarian | Well, this new one is much more convenient. You only need to give it to him once a day. |
| ホールデン | ああ、それはいいですね。前の薬だと、一日3回飲ませるのをしょっちゅう忘れます。これは食事と一緒に与えるのですか、それとも空腹のときですか。 |
| Holden | Oh, that's great. I'm always forgetting to give him the other one three times a day. Do I give him this one with food or do I give him it before his food ? |
| 獣医 | 研究によると、この薬は食事と一緒に服用した方が効果があります。ですから、毎朝、朝食と一緒に与えたらどうですか？ |
| Veterinarian | Studies show that this pill is more effective if dogs take it with food. So why don't you give him this medicine every morning with his breakfast ? |
| ホールデン | それがよさそうですね。副作用はないんですか |
| Holden | Sounds good to me. Does it have any side effect ? |
| 獣医 | この薬を使用して便秘になったという犬がいます。ホールデンさんの犬がそうならないかもしれませんが、便秘にならないように、繊維をたくさん含んだ食べ物を与えてください。 |
| Veterinarian | Some dogs have been reported to have constipation from it. Your dog may not experience this, but I suggest you give it to him with food which contains plenty of fiber, just in case. |
| ホールデン | あ、忘れていました。気管支炎で抗生物質を処方されています。この薬は抗生物質と一緒に飲んでもかまいませんか？ |
| Holden | Oh, I forgot. My dog is prescribed some antibiotics for bronchitis. Is it Ok if I give him both medicines together ? |
| 獣医 | 問題ありません。でも、聞いてもらってよかったです。併用できない薬もありますから。他に質問はありませんか？ |
| Veterinarian | Yes, it's OK. But I'm glad you asked. Some medicines don't go together. Now, do you have any questions about new medicine ? |
| ホールデン | いいえ、ありません。 |
| Holden | No, thank you. |
| 獣医 | この用紙を8番の窓口に持って行って、そこで番号札をもらってください。薬局で1か月分の薬をくれます。3週間したら、チェックしますから、また来てください。 |
| veterinarian | Take this paper to Window 8 and take a number there. The pharmacy will give you a month's supply. Then come back to see in three weeks in order to check his condition. |
