The Boy Wished His Father Dead
ごえべえ |
A boy was made a fool by his father. He ran to the main street, but
there was no fire not like that his father told him. He was so angry
that he wished his father dead.
It was the first of April.
Next day he took a walk with his father as usual as every Sunday. He
liked walking and staying with his father. However, suddenly, a big
black dog attacked his father. He could do nothing to help his father.
The dog was biting his father. Surely it was a mad dog. Then a car was
coming, and he asked to the driver to help his father. The car ran around
his father and the dog twice, but ran away.
His father told him ‘Go home!’ So he ran back to his house thinking
that the dog was biting his father to death. At the time he saw his
mother, he hardly said anything. He just said ‘Daddy is dead.’
His mother got out of the house. While staying alone in his house, he
looked at a photo in which his parents were laughing. It was taken when
he wasn’t born yet.
He thought the father’s death was his fault, because he had wished and
he had told.
Then the door of the house opened and his parents appeared. His father’s
arm was in a white sling. His father was alive!
Now he was happy and no reason to regret.

The Black Dog
Middle-angle |
Even though it was April Fools' Day, he got really angry at his father's
fib that there had been a big fire on Main Street. When he found no
fire there, he secretly wished his father's death. Just a kidding
for his father, but such a serious lie for him.
However one night is enough for children to forget many things.
The next day he and his father went for a walk. He liked this Sunday
roaming because he always enjoyed being with his father alone. Everything
was as usual. His father did nothing except smoking Players, and he
spent his time watching water beetles at the foot of a ditch.
Then all of a sudden a big black dog ran toward them and attacked
his father. Definitely a mad dog! Father was struggling with his raincoat
which the dog bit and was trying to rob. Seized with panic, he could
do nothing.
Thank God ! A car was coming, and now he dared to dash for help. The
driver accelerated the car to the site, but disappeared suddenly.
Now the situation was the worst. No one was there to help them. The
raincoat was torn apart. His father desperately ordered him to run
away and go home. With indescribable terror, he did so.
"Daddy is dead." When he said to his mother, deep sorrow
occupied his mind. Holding a picture of his father and mother taken
before his birth, he was full of remorse for what he had done. Once
he wished his father's death, Next he uttered the phrase, and now
it became true. His repentance was so deep that at first he couldn't
recognize his father's voice. He turned slowly and found his father
with white sling.
"One shot through the head saved me," said his father. Now
he had no regrets at all !

One Saturday morning, his father said "There was a large blazing
fire". He was so angry about his father's childish joke. It was
the first of April. He had wished his father dead secretly. But it didn't
take long for him to forget things. He took for a walk with his father
on next day.
While he watched sticklebacks and water beetles, his father sat at the
edge of the dike staring for a long time, wiped his glasses for a better
look. He didn't do anything but smoked Players. These are the best hours
of the week. When they were about to go home, a large black dog ran
toward them. It was a Bouvier de Flandres. They tried to keep walking
but the dog jumped around them barking. Finally the dog got its teeth
into the black raincoat his father had in his arm. There was no one
around to help his father. His father had to confront this wild dog
until someone helped him. The boy swayed and had the car stopping. But
the man in the car once stopped, he accelerated and disappeared. The
boy ran away as soon as he heard his father's scream "Go away".
He was bleeding all over. The boy was quite sure that his father was
bitten to death.
When he got home, he even couldn't say a word, he just cried and shook"Dad
is dead" That was what he said to his mother. Nothing had changed
but his father's absence. He grabbed the portrait of his father and
mother. He had thought of that the day before and it had happened.
When the door opened he heard his father's voice. He survived. His mother
prepared the tea for three. All three of them stirred their teaspoons
at the same time. He and his father lived at the same time.
